The Finnlys have been named as “one to watch” for 2012 by Crash Records’ Ian De-Whittley in The Yorkshire Evening Post. They reported:

“Melodic Leeds four-piece The Finnlys, who supported Britpop legends Ocean Colour Scene on their recent UK tour, are another of Ian’s tips for the year ahead.”

Indeed, the band are currently working on new material for their new EP and will be announcing a series of live dates soon.

Back In The Studio

So it’s been a while. Sorry. We’ll be honset as well as playing live shows and recording we have just been a bit rubbish. So what’s new?

Well, we have gone back into the studio to record our new, as yet untitled, EP. As well as us on it we have also enlisted the help of Leeds finest including keys from Ellen & The Escapades man Chris Quick and the amazing Hayley Gafftarnick. This people is going to be BIG!

We have also got some sweet ideas up our sleeves in terms of live events so stay tuned. Until then get your self a mince pie and why not treat someone you love to some fine Finnlys merch?

Unlucky for some but the band are feeling very luck indeed as they will be supporting the amazing Hope & Social for the launch of their third album on Friday 13th May at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds. They will also be playing along side Leeds Legend (and H&S drummer) Garry Stewart.

This will sure to be an really special night and likely to sell out so get your tickets from here.

Quater Finals!

The band showed that they are not just good at music but are pretty handy on the pitch after the reached the Quarter Finals at the Live At Leeds 5-a-side football tournament. Their spectacular run was ended when they were knocked out by none other than the Pigeon Detectives which, lets face it, isn’t a bad way to go out. Away the lads!
